If we could only convince him and the rest of congress to quit going to work and become MMO addicts...

Every time I flip past the congress channel, all the seats are empty. I think they may already have quit to play WoW.

EDIT: I wonder if congressmen watch the congress channel and laugh about all the empty seats while they play WoW...

There are 2 channels that cover US government/congress: C-SPAN and C-SPAN2. Both come with most cable providers.

Oddly enough, the cable providers won't give us the adult channels for free, which is as much a public service as showing congress taking 15+ minutes to vote on something if you ask me.

I heard President Bush got bumped up to level 71 after threatening Blizzard with a public message saying they support terrorists.

I watch C-SPAN. Willingly, even. Not the book promotion crap or the forum tables, mind you...just the raw broadcast from inside the Capitol chambers. I stayed up until almost 4 am a few weeks ago when the Senate staged that all-nighter thing. I played some GW on the side, but for the most part I was paying attention.

Oh, and for you British folk: I simply love your House of Commons. C-SPAN airs the "Questions with the Prime Minister" segment occasionally...Sundays and Wednesdays, if I remember correctly. It's great fun, I must say. Much more informal and raucous than either of our deliberative bodies.

btw, I'm not some stodgy, old malcontent. I'm 23. There are, believe it or not, young people who try to stay abreast of the political landscape on a level beyond "z0mfg bush is t3h no0bt4rd!!1 imp33ch n0wz!one!!"

I don't believe news agencies would be that interested since he's not a US Senator and not all that newsworthy.
